Michele:

Very cool event to watch! MUCH more fun than participating. Keep in mind that I did MY share of suffering too. I had to wait for my beer! Marlyce had to wait in line for almost 5 minutes before she got it for me!! :P

Thanks Robin . . . There is, as you now know . . . a guy still sitting on the left side who has been cropped . . . but the white knuckle guy did - in the end - win the money and NOT get hit by the bull.

Oh well done to you my dear Doyle an EXCELLENT entry for this project. I know that being tossed by a bull may only result in bruises it's when the bull decides to gore that it becomes a problem:):) For me Doyle, there isn't enough padding and certainly not enough money:):) I love the attachment as well my friend and both shots have great colour and wonderful clarity of detail. My very best wishes to you as always......Ray

These guys must be out of their minds but You really caught the shot Doyle ! I appreciated the added bonus of how far the guy was thrown too... Holey Moley what an exciting event.
Well done on the capture !

Picture looks good Doyle, but the man looks not so good at all, Wouldn't change places with him my friend. Are they crazy or something, not even for a $1000.= would I do a thing like this. Can buy a new lens for that money, but I think the old one still works good enough.
Take care,

Klaas

Nope...uh uh...not chance...not for $500, not even with Michelin Man padding!
A great action shot...everything moving around the last guy white-knuckling the chair(like it's gonna do him some good...ha) Perfect timing and excellent detail Doyle!
Thanks for the comment, always appreciated.
Take care...Robin

By the way Ian . . . my wife posted a couple of shots you might like . . . especially a pano one here: http://www.usefilm.com/Image.asp?ID=1156934 - I could have watched this forever but, as you might imagine . . . it didn't last very long! LoL!

Thanks Ian! It was the first time I had ever seen it and I was scouting about for "Decisive Moment" and "Glass" shots. Couldn't ask for better here, huh?
The guys can't run so you need not be able to run fast. (Well . . . one did run!) Oh yeah, and after you've been hit it might be good to run for a fence. They're to stay at the table until the bull chooses to move them! The guy with the black hat on the right managed to sit there while the bull charged from behind without even turning to look back!! The bull just ran by him . . . and then turned to take out the guy at the OTHER side of the table. They're ALL nuts - - Even the BULL!!
I'd have a go at it only if I could wear more padding than the Michelin Man. But I'd photograph it anytime!

Doyle I <~~~~~

Wicked shot! I love the idea of the "Bull Poker". I'd be daft enough to have a go myself, if I could only run fast enough lol. Must be a great event for a photographer, would love to hopefully go to one someday.

Well done.

Ian
