About The Ataris - Heaven Is Falling

As I walk beneath the valley
I shall fear no evil
for thanks to King George and his rainbow cabinet
today murder is legal
God I know that it's wrong
to kill my brother for what he hasn't done
and as the planes blacken the sky
it sounds like heaven is falling
it sounds like heaven is falling
you promises me a new day a'dawning
I've seen a thousand points of light
like so many points of hatred, shame and horror
God I want to be a man
but I don't want to die with a rifle in my hand
and as the planes blacken the sky
it sounds like heaven is falling
it sounds like heaven is falling
you promised me a new day a'dawning
well nothing here looks new to me
but a score of mothers' sons
caught 'tween the devil and the deep blue sea

The words and image just brilliant together Sue. That song has so much in it- reality and hope. Just like your image.

Thank you Karina... this photo was inspired by the song... been listening to it for a good while & yes, agree with the view it portrays. War is a waste... some believe it is necesary, though I'd like to say those with that view are becoming a minority.

One thing about the internet, I feel, is that it is bringing the world closer together... we are comunicating & getting to know our 'neighbours' very well.... familiarity does not always breed contempt.

Hopefully soon the skies will clear of their darkness & we will all meet at the end of that rainbow.

Hopefully soon the world will finally rest in peace & mankind will awaken with the knowledge that there is a grave difference between fighting for what is right & what is wrong.

In this world it is all about power... it's about time we found that power in peace.

Keep well & bright x

Libanon was the first thing that crossed my mind. A good impression of a song and of the uselesness of war (useless, for the ordinary man that is).
