Exactly, you should have a bit more space on the side in which you subject is looking, which you have.:)

Yeah, they move pretty quick. I was reading in this photography book that part of capturing a moment is watching and predicting the subject's next move. With this pigeon that's what I did. I watched him for about 15 seconds and then I focused on where I thought he was going to walk and he did and I clicked the shutter and managed to get the shot. Not exactly 100% sharp but I'd rather have a slight blur with a better composition. (I think it was Doyle that commented on my seagull pic that said when a subject is looking into the frame there should be more surroundings on that side if that makes any sense)

Great capture of this pigeon! I like your off-centered composition and I like the way the color of the bird nearly disguises itself in the rocks. I wish there were a bit more DOF, though. As it stands, it's a great photograph!
