Wow, thank Rob.
People can be more intimidating to work with, but I've found it's easier to direct them than, say, that massive butte on the horizon.

I'd encourage you to find a local model and just offer a relaxed Time For Pictures session. I did and really got the portraiture bug now!

This was part of a local group shoot with 25 models and 7 photographers at a local western village. We would just grab a model and go find a cool spot to shoot, blast off 30 or 40 shots, and then go fetch another model. It was hot outside, but VERY fun.
