About Flyfisher, morning at Snoqualmie Falls.

This is my entry for the Arnold Newman project.

I can't think of a better portait of a flyfisher than this man, on his own, below the large Snoqualmie Falls as the sun tips over the lip. It's a mellow sport, dominated by the beauty of nature as well at the technical difficulty.

Excellent shadows, which allow us to see the movement of the fishing line. I love the sillohuete of the man as well.

Amit:

Yeah, the set up with the flash units was a real beast to get the lighting just right.

Actually, just there at the right time by accident.

One little nit, though... Posting this in the critiquers corner seems to be a bit redundant, it would surprise me if you'd get any constructive comments on this one, if you see what I mean

Cheers,

hugo

Jacob -

Blows you out of the water?
Now that makes for some interesting fishing.

Such odd timing, I just submitted a fishing entry to the Arnold Newman project too. Yours blows mine out of the water though. I love the rays of light you've captured in the mist of the falls.

Well done, and keep up the great work!

Thanks. Every once in a great while I take a shot and think that it's going to be a great photograph. This was one of the few times when the lighting, position of the fisherman, and comp all just seemed to be great. Hope others think so too.
