Yeah, I imagine it is because the bulb was slightly over-exposed in the shot. On my screen it appears yellow at the center (more vibrant than the lines) and orangish-red at the periphery. If I had more control over the camera settings (rather a point-and-shoot I'm afraid) I could probably eliminate that.
Thanks for taking the time to comment.

It is a good shot... but your colour for your traffic light is yellow/pinkish for the stop light on my screen. The colour can appear differently on different computers.

James: Being a hard case victim of perfection I love to formation of line and te value it creates within the image..
even knowing full well what the subject is, the abstract nature of the lines presents a sense of confusion in an otherwise completely orderly pattern...
Much enjoyed, and thank you for the comments Franco

Very nice shot. The composition is futuristic. Good job with the digital work. :) Andree

Kostas - Thanks. I was going to move it to all b&w, but the only color that was really there was the line and the light. So I kept them. Losing the line really limited the image and the light was, well, red. Since posting this I've had several ideas about shooting these bridges (four car draw bridges in Seattle). we shall see what comes of it.

Aliihsan - I love these old draw bridges (old for around here, anyway). There is a train draw bridge in Ballard I will try shooting later. Thanks.

the selective desaturation was a good choice James...i know i'd also shoot the bridge if i was there but probably in a less 'straight' and more abstract way ;-) kostas
