Petal, although some Petals are missing on the sunflower, this is a fabulous macro shot. The details of the bug are just marvelous.

Lovely color and composition Petal. It seems to me like a juvenile Cotton Stainer or related bug of the Pyrrhocoridae family. Hope it helps - a local insect guidebook should bring you much closer. Regards.
