Excellent composition and most of all, excellent point of view, so you have a great composition of ...almost a milion of lines here! superb image, and very nice sceled lighting too Robert... of course well seen in greyscale.

I love this one the most out of the other staircase pictures. It gives me the feeling that it invites me to walk into the scene, and go up the stairs. The B&W choice gives it more of such feeling. And I'd say I agree with you that it has such interesting shape and great lines!
By the way instead of using Desaturation, probably using Channel Mixer is better.
