About This photograph (8085) was shot on 17 May 2006 at the People's Pub here in Ballard.

Flipped, resized, shrunk, and auto-contrasted.

Sometimes these TV captures turn out really well. This image only uses the TV in a supporting role. This one is more about the path drawn through the middle and the wonderful cobalt arc in the distance.

Questions and comments are always wecome.

Mary - Sorry for the late reply. Not sure how I missed this. I love watching movies and have the gear for doing so, but couching for hours surfing empty channels is not my idea of entertainment. I turned away from TV when i realized that people would congregate around it talking to each other (no one watching TV) and yet no one wanted it turned off. That was enough to make me suspect that it was up to no good.

I agree, a neverending promotion tool...I suffer from TVphobia you know. It happened at a tender age when I turned it on and realized the house got full of people shouting...Even love appears ..economically, people on TVlove always run to give a sense of duration to the loving part, hehe they run to beaches, restaurants, cafes and then the plot unfolds and discussions become more elaborate...

Oh, Mary, TV works well as a distant object, but if you try to get close it will destroy you. 'Tis a glorious waste of mind.

Well, if you take a close look you can see the repeated TV image coming up the left side of the image. The find golden lines are from a string of rope lights along one wall of the pub interior. I'd be hard pressed to identify each piece beyond that. How? Lots of shutter bumps, a little practice, and of course a little grace.

It does make interesting light patterns. The lights themselves have a neat glow to them. Great creation.

Pure beautiful let me say...real-abstract...
I think the lights put a mix of reality and magic in your pic and you left the movement be the abstract complement.
Davide.
