About Itching for a large telescope to do astrophotography...so I pulled out my Nikon 400mm f/2.8 to squelch the urge...it only fed the desire...!

Wow Ray, really beatiful exposure on this moon, you have a very good lens, very sharp. I see very good details, almost like a telescope view if not even better.. I like the way you have composed this shot, its like looking for the other half of the moon.
great capture!

Really nice Ray. Sharpness and detail right on! THIS is difference between your Nikon and my Sigma.

outstanding job
I love it Ray,
the moon, the greatest beauty source in all universe, and I think you take it into shot the best it could be,
it resembles the song "Dark Side of the Moon" by Pink Floyd to me,
My bests,
Mohammad

Yep, cropped it quite a bit. Thanks to the 12mp with the D2X, I could get away with it.
