You have an amazing portfolio and really beautiful kids. Love this shot - so innocent, so natural. It makes me want to be a kid again to have the opportunity to run around in a field like that barefoot and worryfree.

This is so true, Ron! It's cute to look back at these because they were only taken a few weeks ago when they just met and now they are THE BEST of friends and play together every day.
My oldest is 6 (a boy), the girl is 4 and my younger boy is 3. Regardless of their ages or the fact that there are racial differences and gender differences they all get along great! As though there are no differences between them!

Wow a beautiful shot. I looked at the Location but I really thought that it could have been anywhere. I would hope that this is a universal thing. Still niave after all my years but I believe that children make friends before they prejudge. Some adults too. Congrats on POD. It is a lovely image, regards Ron.

Very cool composition! Congrats on POD! very fitting image for the summer.
The soft add of light works so well! Takes the image, and makes it a faint memory of the summer...and this freakin heat.

I did some softening for sort of a dreamy effect and then converted the image to B&W, then added a sepia tone.
For the softening I duplicated my background layer, changed the "blend layer" to overlay, added a gaussian blur and brought the opacity down to about 20 or so. I then added a little bit of a soft focus.

hi and congrats for well deserved POD award...it says friendship in a very endearing way,Mel...
I especially like their positions within the framing of shot and the expressions...would be great to have a series of these throughout their years...
BTW,saw your forum query and i have noticed that some awards given do not show on FP immediately like they once did pre-upgrade...there is a line-up...works in your favor tho',since when it does hit the FP you will receive more coms from those just seeing it!
