Hey Titia, dramatic capture of lighting here. I really like the God Beams streaming from the sky. Compositionally, I think you tried to include too much with the blue sky. It tends to pull the eye away from your God Beams and lessen the drama. When you have these beams of light, make them count. Put something in the foreground to increase their Otherworldly effect. Like that tree.. For an idea, check out http://www.usefilm.com/showphoto.php?id=101191 Nice capture here. JB

I wonder if you might have considered a different crop...the mid range of the image is so heavy with the cloud that one forgets to look at sky or the foreground field...the rays and the church would be your best subjects...to crop possibly square, leaving out the tree and taking out the sky on the top...just a thought...or a conversion to black and white...that might really be dramatic...I love the image but the center area just becomes to intense

Thanks for your comment. About the saturation: I understand what you mean, but I didn't change anything in this picture after I took it, the colors are exactly as they were at that moment. The sky was all blue and suddenly the dark clouds came rolling in. That's why I put it in this project.

A very pleasing scenery, well set with a low horizon, pretty much in equilibrium with the church and the tree closing the sides. The center is occupied by the sun rays, introducing a strong vertical in the mainly horizontal lines. Colors are well controlled, perhaps not totaly saturated (the blue sky and the withe small clouds look a bit washed).
