Thanky a lot my friend Painsama. Exactly this is (should be) the main point here!

Best wishes,

Nick

This is truly a great capture. It emits the feeling of loneliness very well; single plant, cold, black subject in white, very indicative of loneliness.

Regards.

Hi Doyle and thank you so much for your great detailed comment. The main wish in this photo was to show the silence of the world under the falling snow and just a glance of the door and windows, as a hint for all the people being there in their homes, "surviving" the cold winter. It is another one of that great starting day at the university of Lucerne, shot again from the small balcony of my office there.

As about "snow experience", well Doyle, it might be because it is just another form of water, it could be because with so much snow here around in good old Switzeria, I had enough time to experiment with it, who knows? Snow can really get hard at times, but when anything else fails, I just add +1 or +3/2 steps exposition correction on the T90. (And just wonder what it will look like ;-))

Best wishes,

Nick

Nick:
This is a wonderful shot and the peaceful falling snow is a great image. The central plant makes it a tad bit static (in my opinion) since it captures too much attention and supplies no tension. I like the glimpse over the wall and every other part of this shot but feel the impact would have been much stronger if the plant was not in the dead center of the composition. You seem to have some good skill with the snow . . . traditionally hard for exposure issues . . . maybe because it's just another form of water for the water master?

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

First of all, dear friend Giuseppe, there is nothing, I mean absolutely nothing, to be ashamed for. We try this and that out, we gather experience, we learn, we share our results. What can be more beautiful than this my friend? And if we make mistakes, oh well, Giuseppe, if we were perfect we wouldn't be human beings, I guess. So, I thank you wholeheartedly for your ideas and your work on that image.

My idea was to get a bit of the windows in the photos for generating that vague feeling of, you know, all the questions about who is leaving behind those doors and windows and what might they be doing in such a hard winter. In contrast to the peaceful plants that patiently await the spring, that is.

But in the pure photographic sense, I also think that your idea is much better.

Thank you so much for your work on it, which is *no* mess at all, and for sharing it with us.

Ciao Giuseppe,

Nick

Nick I was thinking at something like that but now I realize that I am to use by now to zoom and to exclude. I don't know ...
Ciao Nick.

Bonita composición de colores (marrón/blanco) un marrón con distintos tonos y prespectivas, además las flores del centro le dan un toque a la imagen, un saludo
