Looks so nice. The colour tonality of the sky is excellent and inclusion of the tree gives a life in it.

Harry you are right, the moire is extremely disturbing. It is not there in the original tiff version, I have printed 8x12 from that tiff and it ok.

Harry Jasper   {K:2913} 6/4/2006
Yes in the previous picture there is some noise but it’s not disturbing me.
There was already a little moiré effect and is much worse now.
I think the previous one is better.

Best regards

Harry Jasper

Thankyou Roland. It seems that the sky is really crying out to us to make us understant what we are doing to mother nature.

Such a fitting title to the image itself. Outstanding shot, perhaps "The Sky Is Crying", beautiful image Debarshi, regards.

Thanks Mireille , I still cant believe the I took this shot from a moving car, I read in a book that if you do not have expensive Vibration Reduction lenses one way to avoid camera shake is to use shutter priority 1/250 or 1/500. I guess the author was right. It really works !!!

Thanks Arthur, Im glad that I sold of the 18-50 and got this one, not that the earlier lens took bad pictures but the 18-70 definitely handles better.

Hi Debarshi, for a shot from a moving car, this one is spectacular. The silhouette of the tree against the vibrant colours of the sky is outstanding. That Nikon lens is rated very good and seems to be quite capable in your hands. Well done and best regards.

Thanks Peter. Yes its my compisition alright. But I had a lot of luch in this. I took it from a moving car and it was a split second decision.

Super job here .. i keep looking at this.. it's your composition i think, the branches seem like keeping the sky up, and divide it at the same time .. Great balance in the shot !!!! 7

Wow, this shot is even more impressive thinking it's done from a moving car. especially seeing you got the whole tree in with every branch. The colors are amazing and I like the blackness of the tree-silhouette. nice long crop too. Well done. Regards, Martijn

Thanks a lot for all the help. Yes I got this one right, with lot of luck and some timing

Miles Herbert   {K:1947} 5/22/2006
It might just be a product of the resizing, so if the full size tiff is ok don't worry about it. Looking at this at medium size on the screen it looks fine too, it is only the large size one where it is obvious.

Just noticed that you took this from a moving car! You got the timing just right to catch the cloud lines pointing into the tree. :)

Debarshi Duttagupta Debarshi Duttagupta   {K:26815} 5/22/2006
Yes exactly. What do it do to reduce that solarisation ? It is not coming in the higher file size tiff version.

  0

Miles Herbert   {K:1947} 5/22/2006
Less noisey now, but you may have overdone it just a little on the noise reduction as on this monitor it looks like you have just a little solarisation (the wavy lines) particularly in the blues at the top.
