Excellant photo of a young bird, prehapes PhotoShotoing and taking out the whole branch above the subject would help the photo! Now that I could paint!

Composition wise your other shot is better because the bird is at a better angle to the camera. This one is not as sharp as the other. You do have beautiful bokeh and the two branches add some interest to the shot. Regards Ron.
