Hi Christian, First of all, let me congratulate you with your critique of the day... A well deserved award, as I find your comments very honest and constructive. I'll get back on that when I have a chance to reply to you on your last comment...
The atmosphere in this shot is fabulous. The pastel tones are perfect, and the exquisite level of details, both in the foreground as well as in the background work perfectly for me. The absence of human presence add to the desolated, barren atmosphere. I think only an immaculate layer of snow in the foreground, still glistening in the late afternoon sunshine could've added to that atmosphere, but on the other hand, it also adds a nice tension, as the viewer starts to wonder what or who have passed there before... Stunning shot.
