Thanks a bunch for the detailed great comment, Doyle! I hope Hans would give me a chance as a photographer for the next festival in his name. (Annemette, could you please say a few good words about me to him? ;-))
Lighting and contrast was what I wanted to have, but it turned a bit harder than I thought. Wanting everything to be in shap focus, I turned a narrower apperture. But since I wanted the lights to be really glittering bright, I measured light at the darker parts. This light measurement resulted in longer exposition time, which wouldn't work because of a little wind that came every few seconds and kept the branches in motion. So I head to use a wider apperture to shorten exposition time. But then I forgot that I focused somewhere between the front dark parts and the bright parts at the background. It turned out that the apperture was too wide to have everything in focus, as we see here.
But I liked the image because of the game of shadow and light and so decided to post it.
The lighting and contrast are good, as Nessa mentioned. I think the whole image is a tad bit soft though :( - The image would have had a great impact if the focus was sharp on either foreground OR background . . . as it stands, the image has promise but I (humbly) think it could be improved with very little change. The magic Light project is perfectly suited for this composition. My regards to Hans and his silver skates! Keep up the good work.
