Hi Danny,
I can only agree with you, the weathered textures of the stones add the finishing touch to this photo, very well captured.
I like the details and this partial view of one of the Roman Empire's landmarks. the simplicity of the composition works very well.
Another thing I do like about this photo is the high level of saturation, as well as the fairly big gradient in the sky. It all adds up. Very well captured!
