I disagree with the comment about the logs, I think it puts this into context as it makes it clear that this is winter/spring, there is snow on the ground and it is melting. Melting snow floods rivers and they run faster. The water in the shot is running fast....the story is told. I actually looked at the whole series and settled on this one to commnet on (I love them all but this one is the 'winner' for me). Blurred flowing water has always been a popular subject for 'artphotos' and must be a outlined as a compulsory subject in the owners manual of every hasselblad camera sold, but so many shots like this overdo the exposure with multiple ND filters and loose all sense of motion replacing it with unidentifiable 'soft wooly stuff' flowing over rocks. This is just right, well done Alex!
The grey tones are great and the movememt is very well rendered. If I may, I would say that the log is not an asset in this shot. With the rocks and snow patches surrounding it, it takes away the clarity and the simplicity of the design.
