About I've been having fun with cityscapes at night over the past couple of weeks, and this shot is the latest. This area of London is very well lit at night, which makes photography quite difficult in overcast weather. The light all bounces back, and use of flash is practically impossible. However, in this shot (which also uses no flash) I really like the reflection off the lower clouds seen through the Eye. This was taken from about 15 paces left of the centre of the eye, from the north bank.

That's beautiful, Megan! The variation in lighting intensity reminds me a bit of the varying magnetic fields in an electric motor - a thing of great beauty, though I suppose that you'd have to be an electrical engineer to appreciate it. Very well done - Thank you!

Megan this is a really great shot. Something that is worth hanging up on the wall. Love it.

This is a great picture. Well composed and exposed. The sky color is very interesting. Don

Hi Christian,

Thanks. I actually quite like the perspective, although it doesn't totally fit with the title. I will be returning sometime in the hopes that the boat has gone - I had to crop the water reflections closer than I wanted to because of the front of it, and the Thames shows reflections so beautifully. Seems a waste. :)

The circle for you and the sphere for me. I love the effect. There are two layers of interest here. The most obvious is the circular shape. I noticed before reading your notes that it was off-centered, and I took it as a way to introduce a dynamic perspective. The second layer, that comes as a second thought, is that of the sky hues and your exposure caught it perfectly. It was daring to take that at f 2, but your lens shows its quality. Have you thought about trying to correct the perspective in your image editing software ?
