Extreme backlighting is my favorite way to photograph florals as well - but this is really extreme, almost an X-ray, which fits well with the skeletal remains of the flower.

Great shot, Monika! I must admit, this maybe the best of the bunch, though they are all good. I like the translucency of the remaining petals and their texture. Just an all around well composed and exposed photo. You have some very creative flower pics. Cheers, Gary

This image reminds me of several Christian treatments of the flame wrapping around the cross of Christ. This looks floral, which it probably is, and is quite engaging with its fluid lines and the light forming the background. It stands by itself very well. Anson
