Sure, Thilo, I understood perfectly. I was just trying to rationalize a bit. ;-)

Blown out or blown up! This was one of those "Shoot now and hope for the best" shots. The exposure was set for a fairly dark passageway when I looked up and saw this transaction. Maybe next time--as the song goes. ;-)

has a feeling of a painting with the gestures and "setup" black and white brings this all to the front for me. respectful and real.

Really like this George- seems to capture so much of interest. Makes me want to know about the various lifestyles- particularly that man on the right! What is he thinking?!!

Riny's a hard man...I actually think the overexposure for this particular photo adds to the feel & presentation...to be quite honest I didn't notice it til Rinys comment...so 'twasn't a factor for me...let's see what your daughter has done with the Olympus

We've travelled a similar road...My Fuji ended up with my Daughter-In-Law who has quit using it since she got a Nikon D50 at Christmas...I hope to find it a good home

Yes, it is overexposed. Sometimes, though, one thinks the image is OK in spite of its technical shortcomings. A judgment call, to be sure.

The question is--Where did it go? This shot (and a few others I've dug up) is from a few years ago. My elder daughter now has the Olympus, still a very capable camera.
