Excellent textures, details as before Don and we get to focus on these rather than the more picturesque posting from yesterday. This has more punch and power due to the roots leading us into the composition and demonstrating the immense depth you have achieved with this shot. Colours are superb. What a striking context for the well known, majestic monument in the background. I love the dramatic shape of the tree in the foreground in itself a monument to survival.

Don - I do believe that this is one of those images that would really profit from a left right reversal. I know you know what the scene looks like, but the image looks more open and inviting reversed (IMHO). See what you think.

Great compisition with leading lines in an interesting foreground and the peak right at converging 1/3 lines. Good sky exposure as well.
