The elderly couple that lived here moved away some time ago. They lived in a very run down house, but they got their newspaper everyday. Kept up with new local and national news apparently. The house is in bad repair, but the paper box still stands. Shot with Kodak tcn 400 film, Newspaper box enhanced.
Your photos always seem to tell a story, Chuck. And that's why I try to take a look at them first, and think about a story, before reading your "About", just to see what kind of story I think of, and if it is somehow similar to that you describe.
Another small trace of an almost forgotten world somewhere on this world, that really gets huge through your kind of photography, since it could also be just a few steps away from my home. It is only that I wouldn't know that, and in this sense your photos are also a small invitation to open my eyes and look more carefully.
Nature takes its course here, as in many of your photos, and just removes all traces of human activity, but small pieces of remembrance remain, ans still tell their tale after years.
Another thing to look at is how the world disappears at the depth of this picture - with time passing by anything disappears. An analogy of space to time - very well perceived.
I have to think more looking at such pictures, but so much is already sure: A very thoughtful one!
