Wow Chuck . . . this is a deep and moody image. I really like it and Nick's critique is really good.

Thank you very much, Chuck. I appreciate that very much. My dream about being a "professional" critiquer would be to just give the public some of the impulse needed for not observing a photo simply with the plain "beauty" criteria, but going into that depth and thought that characterizes your work.
Just keep it up Chuck!

Tried Duotone, just did not look right. You are welcome to redo if you desire. I subtracted some sepia. Added just a little yellow
|
 A lot less sepia |

m NIck: Again , you8 ought to be a "professional" critiquer. Perhaps at a high end Auction in New York. I really appreciate your kind and VERY insight remarks. The little Gate Door at end of photo caught my attention!!! Chuck

Again one of those melancholic photos that for me at least have a touch of "what was and what is left now".
Here, Chuck, you present another different concept. I had the impression that you like to reduce but here it is not just a few chosen elements that built upt the photo. Quite the contrary, it is that kind of chaos that takes place when something is left to develop without any human intervention.
At the place of the fence mother nature puts the inpenetrable network of those wild plants that simply occupy the space! The might look very wild but the parallel comes into mind: Wooden fence, nice done but dead wood. On the other hand, the plants, wild and chaotic but alive!
And at the background... nothing more than that diffuse light - looks like fog, but it adds to the atmosphere. Decay for human perception but vibrant life for nature.
A remarkable photo!
