About This concrete aqueduct near Brooks, Alberta, Canada was the longest of its kind when it was built in 1914 - using horse and man-power mostly! This elevated concrete canal was over 3 kilometers long and was built to provide irrigation water to farmers. Go to this website for more information on this unique structure: http://www.eidnet.org/local/aqueduct/index.htm

Hi Maurizio,

Thanks for your comment on my picture. You thought there might be a river or lake at the bottom of the picture, but actually it is just grass and dirt - flat prairie only. The only water is IN the aqueduct, which is simply a raised canal. If you check out my picture "Aqueduct #2" you can see what is below the aqueduct.

I like the geometries of the aqueduct and the white line in the sky, they seem to meet on the top. Good saturation of the tones, very interesting regular lines of the concrete. I think that in the bottom there is a river or a lake, and I appreciate very much you cut it...
