Here is a picture of a Sow bug. It was found under a fallen fence plank (which describes the background.)Look closely, you can actually see it's eye. I could crop it close enough to see the eyes very well, but I wanted to show the patterns on the "shell". The image was not altered in anyways and only 7% crop was involved to center the critter better.
I admire this image because there is actually a whole new world when you look closely. Look at the rough terrain they have to climb on. This was not rough wood. Incredible stuff!
