About You can see this family was indeed poor. Each guy was in search for a "living" and direction in their life.
The young woman seems to deeply admire one of these guys. Perhaps he feels that he can never give her a chance to be a woman of material wealth.
She does not seem to mind.
Note Tin Roof house and out buildings.
Not sure , but probably made in early 1940's. I have attempted to restore and enhance to capture this scene from so far back.

Hey, Chuck ... I remember those outdoor toilet facilities! ... For the first five years of my life (1954 to late 1950's), we lived with my grandmother, and used one of them .... In the winter you froze your butt off, and in the summer you had to watch out for the bees!!! ... It sounds funny now, but back then it was a way of life.

Nice restoration job.

Everything would be rather happy life except for those awful outdoor toilet facilities.

Well..Chuck, thax. Yep..Materialism is a world trend; quite pity. Actually, these ppl are same as us, but in the early stage of the economic model that we suffer today. We feel that they are much relaxed compared to us who are running too fast; Any how, while we are trying harder to buy a BMW without admiring the beauty of the Sun and Moon which is costless, these ppl too might be dreaming on latest market suff of that age. We both are in race in two ages! But, personally i like most of the other componants they have than what we have now..may be because, we havent tasted it really but seen in images like this and we are trying to get a real idea. Thax for the great work.

Sumedha:
You got this on me. I am glad to be in American. However, we are a little spoiled in our great country by materialism. I appreciate your excellent insight to the term "poor".

A very good photograph. I admire your work with classic beauty. Any way, I dont agree to say POOR people..since they are more relative in globalise comparison. We all are in a struggle..But i find some sort of a happy living on them in the community. Most photographs talk on what economists cant talk. Attitude and inner fluctuations on day to day desires. Your photograph has done it better..thats why i admire this work of arts! Cheers!
