Brian,

I wanted to comment on the figure in there also.. I like him there! For the balance of this image, seeing "man" is a wonderful pivot point for the image. He is effected by the seasons, just as the elements that you've captured. ...otherwise he'd be wearing a t-shirt ;)

As far as sharpness and contrast, with a little curve bending, you've got a very solid and balanced image. Leave the crop alone. The sky is the most dominate force after all!

cheers,
-joel

hi , 3 seasons = 3 main features! not sure on the tighter crop however i will see what it looks like. i really was looking for critique of more sharpness and contrast has i feel thats what it really needs , agree on the curves that may increase the depth as you say. soory about the man but its a part of personal theme at the moment im sure when the sun comes i will return this location. thanks appreciate the views and points raised.

I'd say/suggest the following:
1. Another crop - sky takes too much place (and I agree with first comment).
2. The figure of man is not obligatory for such topic. Imho, image would be better without it.
3. I do not understand a general idea of yours title/photo. There are FOUR seasons:) And yours sky is quite similar with yellowigh rests of grass\plants from the left (from the point of mood) - so I cound only 2 seasons here...

Warm regards,
Serge

Hi Brian,

Great image! The balance of detail, material, color, and content is wonderful!

The one element that stood out to me as soon as the image opened up the screen, was that the sky was missing depth. Possibly due to the sRGB conversion? I hope you don't mind, I tried a little curve bending on the sky to see what was there. (attached below).

This is a very stunning capture! You have a great eye for these wide vista sky images, and balance in their composition.

Very well done!

cheers,
-Joel
