Last night Chloe(my daughter), had a nightmare so I jumped in bed with her for awhile until she went back to sleep. Now this is the upside of my 2 kids having to share a room. Jesse rolled over and his hand was hung down near her face…. In her dozy, sleepy state her natural reaction was to reach out and grab his hand,(female nurturing instinct at work here). I waited 5 minutes till her breathing was regular, then carefully ran and grabbed the compact camera. In the almost dark room the camera couldn’t focus and I couldn’t see a darn thing so I simply held the camera high above the 2 of them and shot off about 5 shots – 2 turned out and this is my fave. Whilst the shots are far from technically good – emotionally I will always treasure this. This is why I went back for baby #2!
