Just great - some will prefer this to be sharp throughout, I think any DOF use is great when you brought the stamen into focus.

Now I've undestood (how late I am Monika!). I fully agree with you: it's to sharp for my eyes too. The reason is that I decided to give a higher sharpenig to the tip because it is the central point of the composition; but I've exaggerated. You are surely right.

gi.gi.: I have the impression that you changed curves or levels in photoshop that is why the middle yeallow part is so bright. there is nothing wrog about it but seems a bit too strong. May be i am wrong and only exposure was like that, then sorry to bother you with my questions  )
