This was taken on a fairly dark and cloudy day and this is a path in my mom's garden in our backyard. This is from my first roll of B&W film and third roll of film ever. I put the aperature on about 16 or 22 or something...I forget...and set shutter speed accordingly. I used a tripod of course...stupid asthma medicine shakes me too much;)
I do apologize for the lack of sharpness in detail...the print is MUCH better in that area seeing as how I used a friends old and cheap two or three year old scanner to get this on the computer.
Nice photo John, and congratulations on your new black and white photography. Don't apologize so much, everything is fine! Enjoy your new adventure and you will see that keeping track of the exposure data will really help you when you go back to look at your photos. Then you can analyze depth of field, focus, blurring and the like. Helps you learn faster and is very interesting to other photographers who will look at your work. Also telling us something about what attracted you to the image in the first place or how the scene made you feel really helps you and us enjoy our co-critiquing!
