Craig, virtually any recent high-end Epson flatbed scanner will do the job beautifully. Of if you have a budget of about 50,000 yen the dedicated film scanner F3200 is faster and possibly better. So you are shooting MF? Hard to beat, isn't it. But it has all the disadvantages of film in spades. Nice balance for digital!

You are so kind Gabriela! I am fortunate to have a clear view of Mount Fuji from my kitchen window, so each morning when I get up at 6:00 or so, I go have a look.

Last Saturday morning, when I took this, was probably the only time this year (with the combination of the plum blossoms and the clear skies) to get such a shot. I feel sorry for all of the people who drive all the way out here from Tokyo or wherever only to see that the conditions are unfavorable.

Thanks Roger! I'm pretty satisfied too, but the shots I took with my pentax 645 that day were even better, believe me! Just wish I had a decent scanner...

Splendid, Craig! You nailed the depth of focus, the exposure, the composition, everything. Hard to imagine how it could be done better. Whatever Usefilm makes of my rating it started as a SEVEN.

Of course!!! I was waiting for it! When did you have such good weather to catch the mountain so clearly????I don't know which I love more? The mountain in its classical image of white Fuji or the exquisite branch of ume-no-hana above? But they really create something great put together! My sincere compliments, Craig!
