Giuseppe - It's an ORCHID.

Pat, I'm referring to the same product which is essentially a plastic spatula with a Pec Pad folded over it. You might try folding a new or cleaned lens cleaning (micro fiber) cloth over the spatula and see if that picks the debris out of the corners. No alcohol necessary. I know that it is a frustrating experience since I also had to work on the problem for a week. The mirror chamber is a dust reservoir - it took an additional week to get it free of dust. I used an inexpensive air mattress foot pump for that purpose. Dust is and always has been a photographer's frustration.

Guiseppe - I think I was wrong. After looking at your shot, it must be some other variety. I will let you know what I find.

Eb - It is a product called sensor swab (uses methanol and fine fiber swabs). It works OK but it seems I just move the spots to the corners of the sensor. Thanks alot for your input.

Splendid pattern, colours and DOF.
It is a kind of Iris that I've never seen in Italy. I show you, in the attachment, the Italian Iris.
Ciao.

Pat - me too, was just kidding! :) Dust on the sensor? I can tell you my story and maybe be of some help. I found I was getting an immense amount of dust through the blower I was using. I washed out the blower with soapy water and then with alcohol to fix that. I used Sensor Swaps and Eclipse fluid on the sensor, but that would not fully remove the residue from these particles. They appeared fine, like talcum and actually produced a smeary residue. I hit on the idea of using a lens pen which actually got most of it. What I do now is wrap a fine grade of micro fibre lens cleaning cloth around the blank Sensor Swab and wipe with that. This works great! I have also used Kodak lens cleaning tissue wrapped around the blank Sensor Swap and applied Eclipse fluid to that. This works too, although Pec Pads are the most recommended for this purpose. What have you tried?

Alicia - Many thanks. This was taken indoors since our spring has yet to start.

Eb - I was just kidding about "colors". Those of us in the south tend to butcher the King's english. I have been trying for a week to get dust particles off my sensor. A little success so far.

Pat, this seemed like a challenge for depth of field and you did well. I like the intrusion of the other floral colours (sorry, colors!) into the subject. The only suggestion I would make is to try cloning out the small blemishes in the foreground petal.
