A beautiful reflective scene, Eb! Very nice composition, the way the scene shifts from right to left, showing more sky and water. Dave.

yep, that enhanced it for my monitor...thanks for going to the trouble,Eb,as i'm sure it was probably fine as a print and i agree that there is some loss of quality when uploading...

Thank you Fadel. One has to photograph what one has - maybe some enhancement to overcome limitations of the medium. However, it seems that you have the skills and imagination to create photos beyond what mother nature presents. I will have to further browse and comment on your amazing portfolio.

Gayle - I went back to the original and sharpened a little stronger. I wonder if you will be able to see this on the attached and find it more to your liking? If I view the original upload in panorama mode, my sharpness and local contrast seems adequate. There always seems to be a little sharpness loss in the upload, even is sizing is correct.

Hi Gayle - I got what you are saying but I don't see it on my monitor. The entire mountainside forestation is uniform contrast on my 19 in CRT. I agree that the apparent definition of the mountainside forest is lessened due to distance, slight atmospheric haze and lack of color detail. I agree that I could selectively enhance local contrast on the mountainside and will perform that experiment, as you suggested. Eb

hi,no, not the snowline...go to back of image (the right side as viewed) where lake ends and you see trees clearly...then go up from there to large darker area way before the snow on mountain....there is very little definition there and seems like it needs more contrast because on my monitor it has a faded look...hope this better describes what i was trying to say previously..LOL..

Thanks for viewing and taking time to comment, Gayle. You are most likely refering to the snow line at the upper half of the mountain. Eb

Just discovered this one after i had already commented on other one...great to see as a pano...nicely composed, good reflections and wide angle perspective...looks a tad hazy in the treeline on upper half, but that may just be the way it was at that time of the morning...if not, then select that area and change contrast level a bit to see if you like it better....regards,gayle
