Thanks for your comments about the stitching: no, I have not heard of the program you have suggested but I will certainly check it out. I realized too that the dividing lines are most obvious, but had no idea how I could correct them. AS for your other observations re. this time of the year, I too have found that in the country, where I lived unti about a year ago it was often gray, the sky was simply plain gray. I think, perhaps unconciously more that the opposite, I rather concenrate on arranging lines that are borders between differnt sections or areas of the scene, then try to make a composition that uses the lines to put order into the capture. If not, I would not be taking as amny pictures because of the boring light. THX. Alan M.
Nice composition, I like the sandbar, it adds makes it unique. nice colours and lighting. I think that the stitching needs some work, you can clearly see where the one photo ends and another begins.
Have you tried to use a program called Autostitch? It is a free download (google it) and it does an incredible job. I have started to use it and find that it requires very little, if any, post processing. Just remember to change the output to 100% from the default 10%.
With some improved stitching, this will make an excellent piece.
