Congrats on the front page for this one Kathy! I've read all the explanations for the shed and for the life of me, I still can't figure it out. And I deal with geometric shapes every day at work. Oh well! Great shot anyway! The proportions of the composition are really nice and the reflection is beautiful. Andre

Hi Kathy,
Thanks for your reply. I think the part that swayed me the most is the roof line along the side. It looks so perfect looking without any walls or apparent support. No doubt there is a leg support at the back of it but we can't see it for the vegetation. Sure has made for some chatter here hasn't it. :) It's a great find and a really lovely scene.
Oh if you get bored can you post some of my photos if you want. ;) I have lots to post but don't have the time to post them right now. Don't really have time for too many comments as life outside of UF has become quite busy but I will pop in as time allows.
Cheers - Ann :)

Wow Sissy, you really have everyone scratching their heads over this one! ) I guess they aren't used to the way we build sheds here in WA! Hi Ann! Thanks for your nice comments, Ann, and, like I told Robin...thanks for taking such a good look! As I also told Robin, the shed has a little lean-to built off the side of it, without walls, so you are looking through to the other side. Sorry to cause so much concern about your eyes! :) I hope the weather around here clears up pretty soon...I'm running out of pictures!!! Kathy

Hi Robin, Thanks for the nice comments, and for taking such a close look! :) Actually, someone has built a small lean-to off the side of the shed. It's just a roof that is held up by 2x4's, so you really are seeing through it, so to speak! Kathy

I had to look pretty hard to see what mirror reflection was being commented about. I think what they are referring too is the small over hang on the left side. Too funny. It does become an optical illusion when you look at the overhang as if it is part of the main roof. The reflections are wonderful on your captured country scene! And the illussion really makes you look deep into the photo to explore.

This is very beautiful, Kathy, a winterish capture where colours call for attention. The dried grasses in the far background and the yellowish ones in the foreground complement one another greatly, leaving space for some green grass in between. The red of the chalet peeking in the small pond is the necessary accent giving warmth to the whole scene.Reflection is such a wonderful happening! Gabriela

I saw the strange "grass roof" right away too- strange how it plays tricks on your eyes! I think now I can see that it is just a side roof off the main little red building? Sign me up for an eye check too! Great capture- good colors with nice reflections.

Hi Ann, came back for another look, it's so cool. The shed doesn't have a roof or side wall! It's just the frame and facade. Take a look at the reflection in the water... same thing!

Another beautiful image Kathy but I too am with Robin on this one. The roof on the shed and the side wall look like they are a part of the grass. It's a real illusion that plays tricks with the eyes. How come nobody else has mentioned this? Maybe I will have to have my eyes checked with Robins? :) It's almost like the side of the shed is a mirror or glass reflecting like a mirror but that doesn't explain the roof. Most puzzling. Still a lovely scene with beautiful reflections. Great shot Kathy.
Cheers - Ann :)
