Oi maybe your son loves it cause he painted it. *ducks for incoming* (hehe)

Serioulsy though...yep it has that gritty grunge look but maybe that much is a bit hard on the eyes. Very effective though if going for I-M-P-A-C-T !!!

Good job.

Cheers - Ann :)

hi and thanks for comment...nope,no sharpening from me nor UF as i checked "none"....i think it is the texture effect which didn't look quite so severe with the higher res copy, but did on the 72dpi one here....i intentionally wanted gritty, but maybe too much grit is too much grit..LOL..gotta think of it in a grunge urban street way...my son loves it which is a big compliment coming from him who tells me straight up what he likes and doesn't..LOL..
And,i only alley crawl during daylight hours,so not often by this nightowl ;>

Great perspective Gayle. I'm wondering if that much sharpening was intentional or did it happen on upload. If intentional then it's an intense effect but if not intentional you may want to make sure the sharpen option on upload is set to none. I believe it defaults at medium so if you don't check that setting before upload I think it automatically sharpens the images. I always set to none and do my own sharpening. All that having been said....If the texture is intentional then it's quite like the entire image has been sandblasted. You really should stop lurking around those alleys girl.

Cheers - Ann :)

Cool... could be a 70s LP cover. The unreal quality brought out by the processing is interesting, almost disturbing. I don't think I'd want it on my wall, but it is quite compelling nonetheless :-]

Cheers,

Jon
