Another rescue from the pool resulted in me gazing at this ladybug for quite a while. When it finally flew away, I thought, 'well, I'll never see him/her again', and when I went inside and looked down at my camera, it was crawling around the lens! I got a little shock, and then continued to play with it for a while before it made off for good. That's my story :) Thanks for your comments!
Oooh cool - Now that I have seen the original I can't decide whether I like that more than the one that you initially uploaded! The second image has a really dreamy surreal effect and I like that in its own way a lot.
Why thank you Mervo!! I'll attach the original to show you that I wasn't responsible for the original high key quality, it's my camera that overexposes even at the shortest shutter speed! But I guess it was very sunny. Then just a slide of levels, and abracadabra - I thought the same thing as you, so I'm glad you like it!
Nice shot and story behind it Nadia! How did you get this high-key effect? It's pretty damn neat! The contrast between the ladybird and your hand is cool.
