Strikingly very beautiful vista! Such a beautifully crafted composition: the main tree at the right 1/3, the branches filling up the upper 1/2, and a far away tree in the left lower 1/3, stripe of trees along the lower 1/3 line, and the main colors; black and white. In simple word, excellent composition.
Regards.

I see that I am late in getting to see this image, but I must comment that I think your combining of the two oaks in this way IS a geometric statement! A very beautiful one at that. Once again, you can not hide from your style, it is in everything you do! The impression is of an image within an image, as though the trees are two images, one within the other, or perhaps part of an endlessly repeating pattern like a fractal or in tow mirrors set to face one another. Also, the straight horizon line bisecting the trees connects them in another geometric linking. Bravo Jeanette!
One observation, it might be interesting to present this image also in a high key manner with the light gray becoming white. Just a thought. This image is wanting nothing as it stands.
Best regards, Mark

wonderful! Wat I like in this kind of shots, is the abstraction that it express, as a b/w film. The snow mixed with a cloudy day, creates a special sensation like in a dream. Very well seen, I like it so much. and I like your entire portfolio too. Cheers.

I think I had a chill go through me as soon as I opened this image. ;) On a more serious note, I really like the tree in the background and the way you have it nestled underneath of the large branches that fill the frame. Great idea to get up close, nicely done, even if it makes me shiver~

SO MUCH snow? Amazing, but problematic!!! No i have been travelling...the Paris shots.... but now at home again and the sky here is so boring right now and have been for awhile, but i hope for a hange and long for amazing sky´s - blue or with clouds. Though - the white/grey sky also has it´s own beauty!
Yes - tell me when you will post them :)

Will the change be because of the coming of spring, or will you be traveling? I am sure wherever you go you will take fascinating abstracts! We have had heavy snows in Japan--the heaviest for over 50 years, they say. 3.85 meters at last count and still falling! Fortunately it has kept north of where I live so far, but tomorrow morning the snowstorm may reach us.... brrrrrrr! If it does, I promise you some pictures.
