Thanks for your comment Ashley. You know, several years ago when in NS on vacation, we went into an art gallery in the Annapolis valley. It was featuring art by a local artist called Tom Clooney. Most of his pictures were painted at the time of the year (localy) when the the winter was thawing and there is a prevalen sort of gold colour, not a clean colour, but somewhat tainted. This tone pervaded his paintings and I was impressed with the fact that he went specifically to paint at that time of year, it not being considered an ideal time. I will say though, the fact that he had ventured into this particular period for his art (very good stuff I might add) rather proved to me that if you look you can find st any time.
I find it difficult to take good photographs of landscapes at this time of year, everything is brown and dull. You seem to have mastered it however, with this shot. It is a nice compostion and has a lot of interes. nice capture.
