I saw this beautiful sunset and stopped at the nearest accessible area in my big city, to try and capture it. Unfortunately I was not equipped with a tripod at the time. I zoomed in to the brightest part of the sunset, and to reduce the grain, I used "neat image", which did not help at all with the focus. And I admit, having my car running was my biggest faux pas. Thank you so much for your comments.

Very nice Carolyn.Sunrises and sunsets are a favourite of mine. One question though....did you use a tripod...otherwise if you didnt, there is slight camera shake...just feel the trees arent quite in focus as i would have loved them to be.....but a beautiful shot.Well done. Kind regards Hilton

The first problem here is total lack of focus. this is a result of not using a tripod in twilight lighting. Second, the colors of sunset are not really complimented by any worthy subject matter. No depth, no foreground intrest, nothing to lead me into and through the scene. Compositionally, it fals flat with only simple silhoettes. Additionally, there are relatively high noise levels in the sky, a sign of sub-par post-processing and/or in-camera processing.
