About "No photoshop was used"*

A recent flight from DFW to San Jose

*Yeah, riiiight.
Actually, curves tweaked, contrast boosted, thresholds blending layer on color burn, noise added to runway, yet removed from sky. Oh, and ...cropped.
Besides that, not a BIT of photoshop was involved.

I really want the focus to be the perfectly aligned white stripe flowing from the MD Super 80 into the Embrair. What do you think, crop even tighter?

Hi Paul,

Lots of different opinions going on here! LOL
I think the PS work is just fine. Top looks good to me, maybe add a tad to the bottom (if you have it)....Looks good.

Reminds me of two planes in a drag race!! LOL

Have a GR8 day Paul,
Lori :)

This makes it look like they have two cockpits on that plane. Maybe one is for pilots in training. Maybe clone out the front wheel on the small plane. Don.

I just read the comments. I think the crop on the bottom is fine. IMO , no need to show the entire wheel. Too much or too little, isn't that just like life? Do a super tight one and see how it "FLYS"-hohoho

NO, I wouldn't crop any tighter. In fact I really like the "look" you gave this shot with all the PS work so I would even like to see a bit more of the plane (where AMERICAN is written). I think it really works well the way it is. Dig the panoramic feature....Another really strong one.....

You are right about my crop too tight on the bottom. I need to get the tire within frame. Thanks.

Yeah, Jeroen, that's my dilemna: either not enough or too much, and I'm still not sure which.
Thanks for your feedback!

I think you overdid the Photoshopping, especially the noise on the tarmac.
I also think you either cropped it too much (especially the cut through the nosewheel) or not enough (in which case just a narrow strip would be left).

Hi Paul, Tough question... My initial thought would be to crop it much, much closer, in order to emphasise what you call the perfect aligned white stripes - I like that touch! On the other hand, I also see an opportunity in leaving a bit more on top of the image, placing the aligned line dead center in the composition. I guess that would also attract the attention. Can't be sure untill i see it...;)

Cheers,

Hugo

Heeeey!...I beleived you...I was going to leave a comment about how great the colors were, until I scrolled down...shows you what I know! Great lines...my 2 cents, maybe crop a little off the left.
Thanks for the comment...loved it, brought a smile to my face!
Robin
