About This was one of my favorite images of my Navy career. It might not even be be an incredible photo, but it was just amazing watching the sea part in front of me as we headed out of Pearl Harbor. I should have had a video camera. :)

Thanks for reminding me how special (and tough) it was to go to sea. DBF.

Thank you all for your comments. They were just about ready to dive, so I asked the Captain if I could go up for a quick shot. He said, "Make it quick". So I did. They did an emergency blow on that trip too. Very cool. If you've seen The Hunt for Red October when the sub comes shooting out of the water...that's it. Subs are great to visit, but a tough life if you've got to do it day to day. Here's a shot of me about 10 minutes earlier. I had to get the tourist photo. :)

I was sort of wondering that too.. how did you get this shot without getting dragged underwater? Guess you can tell I'm not a Navy girl. It is a pretty incredible photo, but to be honest, it doesn't matter what the people on here say -- you captured a part of your life and something that means something to you. That is all that matters in the long run. Still -- I can tell you that the photo is awesome, in this very less-that-perfect photographers mind.
