Thank you all for your comments. Andrew, I didnt use a graduated filter but I have burnt in the far corners of the print. The rest of the sky is pretty much as it was on the day, and for the rest of my stay :( . The only reason to be thakfull of yellow lines is that at least no one parked there car there. Although I cant imagine a place so small and remote as buttermere has ever seen a traffic warden.

Gee that sky looks ominous! Did you use some kind of GND filter for that or darkroom work? The whole scene here is dark and mysterious. A great photo to have as a framed print on your wall. I feel that the lines on the road outline the road and give the eye some direction although you can see how some would find it a little distracting to the dark mood the photo creates.

Looks like a scene out of a dream. I like all the paths that appear and the solitary figure dead centre in the composition. Nicely done.

A very dramatic mono appearing to have ben shot at a low angle. Different and interesting. It holds my attention.

Very moody, or was that muddy :-)
I like this shot, the dark water laden skies, and the monochrome treatment. If they would just get rid of those double yellow lines!!
Good work
