Beautiful and dreamy. Compositionally, you could lose part of the space on the right without hurting the image, but this is also nice. The DOF helps create a dreamy surreal effect.

No, you didn't break the rules. I see the image divided into the classical 1/3rds (yellow, violet & green). A litle more depth would have helped but the colors are striking and this hold the image together in my mind.
