Hi Gary, nice to have you back. I know what you mean about the weather. I am stranded here in Oregon (Ma and Pa Kettle's farm complete with 100 chickens, 15 bantams, 5 dogs, 4 cats and 4 sneaky geese) and we are surrounded by snow covered mountains so can't leave here until spring. We won't take the motorhome on bad roads so I'm up to my boots in chook poop all winter until we can get the wheels rolling again to move on to explore new territory.

We've had a deep freeze here recently and I snap froze my fingers to take photos of some frozen waterfalls.

I hope you have some new photos to post for our viewing pleasure soon.

Cheers - Ann :)

Hi Ann!! thanks for the comment. I just got back home today. Drove clean across the US... well from MI to MT... hardly stopped at all as I didn't want to contend with any crappy weather... Happy 2006 to you! so where is ma & pa kettles farm at?? hahaha... Ciao for now,

Gary

Hi Gary, I'm back posting again after my new year's sabatical and my holiday off Ma and Pa Kettle's farm. I hope you had a great start to the new year and I hope you will be back soon posting new images.

I must have missed this one before I went away. I love the deep blues. The snow capped rock makes me want to go eat a donut for some reason. :) Beautiful movement in the water. A very moody image.

Cheers from Ann :)

oh, come on Kelly!! It's not that cold... hahaha... well, not cold enough to be frozen!! Yes, the "smooth" effect was caused by about a Ā½ to 1 second exposure (or maybe longer, i can't quite remember anymore). I did use a tripod as well as I am not that steady at long exposures. Thanks for your comment!! Always nice to "hear" from you. Cheers, Gary

Burrr... and Burrrr.... again. This is an awsome picture. Woudn't want to swim in that water. Did you use a slow shutter speed for this capture or was the water really this smooth. I really like this effect.
