About 25 years ago,on the 8th of December, 1980, John Lennon was shot and killed by a sick freak as he entered this well known apartment building (The Dakota). He lived here with his wife and son on the 7th floor (with the black railing). Friends of mine who lived close by would see him once in a while at one of the windows looking out at Central Park with Sean in his arms (at the time I didn't think it was a big deal. Now i wish I had a nice memory like that). One of the world's greatest talents of the modern age is no longer here and i still can't believe it.

...I remember that day as if it was this morning - what a shame to be so insane as to kill someone becuase you love them so much ... K

Yeah, the world's been colder and darker without him.

Yeah it's a great looking building. This is where Roman Polanski shot "Rosemary's Baby" in 68 / 69. It does have a creepy reputation (especially since the shoothing) but you can't miss it. Mark
