I couldn't help but notice the title of this image. first of all. Percy Grainger's Children's March; Led Zeppelin; Delius...country music. The words are evocative, and your image perfectly matches the sentiment.

Best wishes,

Anthony

Thanks for your reply Doyle. I did mirror it as it appeared to look better. I had always been told a photo should go left to right as this is the way our eye views an image. i think I get away with the other on being different is because it is cropped tighter. I may go back and redo it as it's not as sharp as I would have liked - it would be hard to get that cloud again though. Thanks for your imput - much appreciated.

Greg:
.....The sky here appears to be a mirror image of "rolling hills" (http://www.usefilm.com/image/1003027.html).
That's not a bad thing, of course . . . but I'm wondering why the reversal or if the whole image was reversed since both were clearly taken at the same time and (relatively) same place. With the BiP, the numerous accolades and comments . . . you don't need a critique from me. Clearly a minimalistic but very well done composition and also worthy of the award. The colors are nicely saturated too. Impressive image!

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

Of all the BIP's this one just grabbed my eye. Great, simple composition, the proportions to me seem just right, and much better than the XP background! Congrats on the BIP, good job Greg.

Congrats on the BIP award. I looked back at page 1 of youre portfolio and saw some amazing field shots just like this. With a fench and at both sides another colour. really wonderfull there too! ( i though the name was 'over the hill and far' I have put it to my favorites ;-))

this one really fits the new project, the parrerns in the grass are excellent! The fench cutting it in two from left to right, i really like that, it gives the image something extra. The thick fuzzy cloud above the hill is wonderfull, hope you get back here and make some more shots, (maybe with a red sky from the sunset!)

Cheers, Lex.

I really like the composition. About the light, maybe you could heve given a litte more shutter time. it`s a little dark.

Superb landscape. I can't believe that places like this turly exist. The shot is perfect in all aspects - everything from the curving line of the fence and field to the colors and tones. Could go as one of those Windows XP destop backgrounds... that's actually one of the first things it reminded me of.

Congrats,
Kasia
