About Here is something interesting in the US. If a student comes to class without a pencil or paper... the options are: "Go get them!" "You may rent(borrow)them for a fee!" "Too bad for you! Now you cannot do your work!" I take a different angle... If a student does not have a pencil or sheet of paper... well, ... I give them one.(pre-sharpened!!) I do not charge a fee. I do NOT let them just sit there... I make them welcome. Something strange is happening in Lame Deer... students are starting to understand the scope and beauty of the world. Geeze... wonder where that came from?
